hmm imo not too good wth the banners posted in the first one as it seems that in most you have just taken a stock and slapped a render on it and made it a bit more transparent (e.g. using an overlay) but in others it seems like you tried some motion blurring and then increased the contrast too much and they look purely terrible.
but the ones in your second post are awesome and i was just wondering how such good banners in the second post came from very bad banners in the first post.

Pretty easy to explain that, The first post was work from 4 hours after downloading GIMP so I was still pretty newb back then (this was about 2 weeks ago). The 2nd post was way back last year and i've been working a bit longer on those kind of images. Thanks for the advice, I'm still practicing here and there when I'm not spriting and I'll surely work on them

The images on the first post for about 2-3 weeks
The second varies, sketches I worked since I was 5, the banners for a few months
Sprites I actually don't know how long but I've been working on them for a while

But I'll say I've really improved since I started all this graphics work.
