    Empty Pokemon ID's

Post by FlamingToaster on Tue 29 Dec 2009, 12:05 am

Ok well i just started to play vortex so i thought it would be similar to indigo in that you could maybe clone or get any pokemon you want.
I tried using tamper data but all that got me was some funny attacks like my little treecko doing a hyperbeam that caused 12 damage Neutral
I then had a look at using firebug and i manged to get some poke ID's.
They arent the usual pokedex ones, they are totally different. Only managed to get a couple:

    Trapinch: 96116
    Hoothoot: 78752
    Duskull: 45164
    Drifloon: 85990
    Zubat: 69575
    Unown (Ex): 4662
    Tentacool: 66336
    Surskit: 54098
    Burmy (Steel): 40068
I haven't been able to find a use for them because somehow the game knows that i have changed the values and resets them to the pokemon before. I have an idea though so i'll be back in a tick with either more poke ID's or a cheat for it.

EDIT: Ok well that was long, painful and all for nothing. Well i did get some more id's but i was hoping for more. All i got was the chance to vers a level 0 nothing with no attacks or hp. Didn't even get money or experience from it.

    How to verse nothing
Note: Must have tamper data, firebug and of cause firefox.

    Step1: Go to any map.
    Step2: Open up tamper data
Step3: Press start tamper in the tamper data window
Step4: Press an arrow on the map in any direction. A window should come up in the tamper data window, ignore it.
Step5: Open firebug and navigate through all of that until you get to the bit where it says searching for pokemon.
    Step6: Right click the "
    " part and click edit
    Step7: Insert this code:
    Code:
    <div id="appear"><form method="POST" action="wildbattle.php" name="54098"><center><img width="80" height="80" src="/images/pokemon/Surskit.gif"/><p> Wild Surskit appeared.</p></center><p>Level: 10 <input type="hidden" value="Battle" name="wildpoke" id="finding"/><input type="submit" value="Battle!" name="54098" id="54098"/></p></form></div>
Step8: In the browsing window click battle.
Now you can verse nothing and gain nothing at all.

Hi there, nice to see your trying to find ways to hack Vortex. While browsing I came across this site.

Now the site isn't completely hack proof, but i have to say mostly.

Now id's just to clarify this with you, are numbers that identify every pokemon caught in the game. They are meaningless numbers that identify when you click there name to what pokemon in the database you are searching for. This allows us to search through 1billion pokemon very quickly.

Now about the wild battle thing, I think i fixed that just now, thanks for the help with that, was wondering how people go the blanks.

Also instead of benefiting from a "hack" which is what you seem to be calling it, why not help us out an tell us about it, otherwise if we do find out who is using it, we will match all accounts owning to you an immediately ban them, we take manipulation of our code serious. This is really the only thing a member can be banned for.

Also I just signed up to post this. Dean one of the owners of Pokemon Vortex.

Mr Dean, one of the owners of Pokemon Vortex:

1: If your site coding that are THAT easy to hack,, shouldnt you guys try to improve the coding security, make the pokemon finding system into a more random search function
    (no "codes" about pokemon)

2: If you signed up just to post this "warning", why didnt you message one of the leaders on vortex instead?
It would have saved some time, and would have kept another username for us.

3: I like the game pokemon vortex, and i respect the creators immensely, but dont you think that signing up on forums just to find cheats is a bit too paranoid? This seems like an infringement on privacy on the clan's point of view. No one likes to snoop around like a spy. What would u say if some1 in your programming staff was a spy to get better pokes for his account and find bugs? im sure you would feel the same way.

This is by no means an insult, just some advice. As if this event goes out into the public
(which i will by all means prohibit), then your site's credibility in terms of the clans privacy will go down, as every1 will be scared of the new recruits, thinking that he/she could be a spy from the admins of Vortex.

    Regards,
    Undefeatedpure.

and for what reason? he has not actually done anything wrong...
If anything it should be these people banned from pokemon vortex for testing and exposing glitches...

Hmm, so you found our clan. I tried to hack your site because it's fun and challenging. Sure it ruins the gameplay and i could get banned but it helps get through those boring afternoons.

Wel you right, your site isn't completely hack proof. No site is.

So with the id's they are just a number of each pokemon in the game and are never the same? Ah well, at least i now know not to bother with trying to figure that out.

Well i didn't realize that vortex checks on clan sites to see if they know a cheat or hack. I guess i could say your welcome but im sorta pissed about it.

Match all accounts owned by me by using my ip? Won't work because i could simply change my ip. Sorry dude but i will continue to try and hack vortex. Weather you like it or not.

    Take care Smile

He's not likely to actually CARE if you do it...
and he wont ban your ip he will just take all the accounts you own...
and each time you do it.
so you would only be wasting your own time and "boring afternoons"
    =/

I'm on the side of not spreading glitches
i mean sure if you found one and want to use it to your advantage, what person wouldn't be tempted?
but finding one and running to a forum to tell everyone just so you get credit for it is even more sad than searching for it...
besides that point i can guarantee you cant actually "hack" a game anyway you're just doing pointless code editing which anyone can do with the right browser addon....
When you get into the database and actually edit a real script then you can say you "hack" games.

I have no need or desire for hacking a game.
It's a waste of time and money (if certain software is needed)
The game itself is easy enough without stealing or cloning or "creating" Pokemon...

Edit: And at the post above, any pc usually is good for hacking doesnt have to be anything special.

Take a brake and go away!

If you are pissing here cuz we are trying to use cheats/hacks - look at urself! You are in the TOP 3 of Vortex! And dont try to tell me you did it without cheating... iMacro counts as cheats, anyway.
