Movesets: for ALL pokemon games Empty Movesets: for ALL pokemon games

Post by Undefeatedpure Fri 25 Dec 2009, 9:31 am

Im really sorry if this is what makes u hate pokemon. After all, in live battles (or in the DS games if u play em) the movesets are the really technical bits of the game. One wrong move choice and ur bust
(eg: an electivire with thunder, thundershock, thunderbolt and thunder wave would lose in nanoseconds to any ground type pokemon, or any pokemon which is good enough to resist Electivire's attacks, Pmaster can assure you, as i pwned his team with crappy movesets)
I know that some people out there either:
1: already know what movesets im talking about, and dont need this guide.
2: already have given up by reading the intro
3: couldnt care less about this aspect.

Fear not, I am here to help with anyone who has a problem with their movesets on ANY pokemon game. Vortex, Indigo, Lake, or even the DS games, im equally skilled at.
Those people who browse the indigo forums that check the "what move should learn"
topic will know that I, Te Undefeatedpure already has done some moveset work.
So dont hesitate to ask me. Any 1 with other problems, feel free 2 PM me, or if you like, the staff, who are also skilled at this kind of stuff Razz

Wow thats a long list. That's your party, i assume Razz

    MewtwoMaster:
If this is Vortex your talking about, then this applies for all ur pokemon. They can learn ANY move, but i will do the more "legit" movesets.

    Mewtwo:
You've got a huge choice with all those moves, so here i go:
Thunderbolt (if accuracy doesnt matter, put thunder and blizzard)
    Ice Beam
(these 2 moves should be paired 2gether all the time EXCEPT in special circumstances)
Flamethrower (unfortunately, this is one of those "special circumstances", as fire type also has a wide covering of types (grass, bug, steel, ice)
Take your pick, as it does not really matter. I would go for Bolt-Beam, as you can put another fire-type attk on one of your other pokes

Focus Blast (fighting type owns all, and a MUST have for mewtwo)
    Psychic/Hyper Beam.
Psychic has the same-type bonus, but hyper beam has INSANE power.
    psychic + same type: 90 * 1.5 = 125 base power.
    Hyper Beam = 150 base.
    Take your pick.

    Mew:
INSANE move pool, as it can learn ANY move from all the moves availiable.
Sadly, we can only pick four, so here we go:
Overheat (THATs why i didnt go for flamethrower 4 mewtwo, overheat is 2nd best fire move in terms of base power. You don't get sp attk drop, so spam all u want)
Earthquake: Ground-type coverage is essential, so its a set move.
Dragon Pulse (no 1 will be expecting that move, so throw mew in against any dragon
"execpt dialga", and you get an instant kill on most dragons)
Solar beam: Again, no 1 will be expecting that, so fire away.

Lugia (wow u must like ur psychics)
Hydro Pump (only 1 in ur team that can learn hydro pump, so INSTANT IN)
Toxic (Takes advantage of your defenses, and it works like a charm, so Its in"
Recover(like i said, defense is key with lugia, so stick it in)
Aeroblast/Sky attack (if its vortex, go 4 sky attk)

    Azelf:
Azelf is fragile, so it can sweep 2 pokes, but then die LOL. So its basically your suicide bomber.
Explosion: (reason of the name "suicide bomber" :you die, he/she dies"
Shadow Ball: For All ghost pokemon who are unaffected by explosion
Thunder: : Filler Razz no real purpose but 2 hit big neutral damage.
Subsitute: gives you time 2 kill, and prolong azelf's time in the field

    Mesprit:

This is your "helper pokemon", giving out status effects while prolonging its time on the field.
Thunder Wave: 2nd choice move if toxic doesnt work. 30% chance of not moving and dramatic speed reduction is a massive help.
Toxic: Poison damage over time increases. Your main method of damage.
Subsitute: Hide behind the sub takes in massive damage and mesprit is still alive Razz
Blizzard: Main attacking move. Good type coverage, and has no "no effect" on any pokemon.

    Uxie:
Another defensive pokemon. Lacks lugia's hp, but has more options.
Giga drain: IF your pokemon is on low hp, use this (unless its a fire/dragon/steel type)
More hp= more chance of surviving
Calm Mind: Increases Uxie's pathetic sp, attk, and making its sp. def almost unbreakable. Just make sure not 2 put this in a path of a weaville, or KO>
Subsitute: Same as usual, but Uxie's subs will be waaay more tougher.
    Toxic: Same as usual.

Tell me if you are looking for vortex moves, as vortex and real pokemon are two worlds apart LOLZ.

    Hope that helped .

Vortex, you can learn any pokemon move. So it defies all normal pokemon logic, rendering my movesets useless (well, the defense/helper ones only)

    Psychic man....... wow
I think thats your party in vortex Razz
    Get some dragons, they own.
